The World That He Sees

I know many of you will enjoy this video especially since its Christmas time. Jon Cordeiro, Texas Voices Board member and director of New Name Ministries, sent this our way.

New Name Ministries has just launched its YouTube channel with the video linked below. In the future, we plan to upload more videos designed to entertain, encourage, and educate. You are invited to become a subscriber.

Our first video has a Christmas theme yet addresses issues such as labeling people groups and the challenges of reentry back into society. Please feel free to leave comments on YouTube. We hope you will forward this link to those you believe will be blessed by it. Let’s make this go viral!

Please be careful and be wise to the churches you attempt to become part of. Some will reject you because of the sex crime and some will treat you as if your 2nd and third class. While it is my experience, I suggest getting into a mens bible study or group meetings for support. Gain your trust with them but never as you know, break that trust between them as you did with many with the offense that got you where we once were. I also suggest you read the book Transforming the inner man that is through the elijah house ministries started by the stanfords. The book will work in you and change the way you think about yourself and others and bring closure to possibly why we ended up where we are. Nothing is an excuse but with God, we can be changed, healed and transformed to be that better person. Hope this finds you well and I believe its time we start to come together and support each other as a coalition to prove to people that the devil won this time but with support and love we can overcome this with the great love of God.

Scott, thank you for your reply to this thread! I agree that we should be very careful. It is sad but true that “churches” are not what they seem to be from the outside or what they are meant to be and the whole thing can devastate a person. I’ve been there.

Sadly, people claim to be Christians who are not and churches are full of these types. History proves this.

The truth is and you are right, we need to find people who are truly God’s people and we need to seek them out. Thank you for the reminder!

I fear that many people look at churches and see people who are truly nasty in all sorts of ways and they don’t understand that just because a church says it’s a messenger from God doesn’t mean that it really is. The Bible clearly tells us that we can only tell who a person is by what they do. Of course the Bible speaks in more eloquent terms.

I agree, we need to search for people of God.

      You are very welcome Kay.

I do want to point out that some churches offer a such thing as safe sanctuary and it usually is to Not Only to protect the church but to also protect You ( The offender). I have been to one of these churches and this was mostly a requirement for certain church insurances. However, they since have dropped a particular insurance company because they wanted the pastor to disclose to the congregation, who was an offender. The pastor refused simply because he felt people deserve a chance as long as safe guards were in place. I believe the major issue here is, finding a church that are true to their word and of support.
